A Community Manager for Mom Masterminds

Businesses big and small have realized there is a conversation taking place on the web they need to be actively engaged in. Participation takes time and a commitment to being found where clients and customers are and since most business owners are busy at the business of business - they have found value in hiring someone to specialize in social media interaction.
As soon as I saw a Community Manager in action I knew I wanted to explore this for Mom Masterminds.
It’s not that I’m not active in social networks, I am - but there is no way for me to be everywhere I’d like to be and still take care of my core business responsibilities. The same goes for Lynette.
When we decided to move ahead with a goal of hiring a CM for MM we studied several online resources describing the role of a Community Manager as they are employed by other businesses. Then we sat down to develop a job description that suits our needs and fits the culture of our community.
Once we knew what we would expect from a CM, we considered people we felt would excel in the position. Naturally we looked inside Mom Masterminds, starting with our active Founding Club Members. Not surprisingly, we were in complete agreement about the name at the top of our list so we made contact. We shared an outline of responsibilities with our candidate and progressed through conversations where everyone got clarification on the role and our goals.
The results are that Lynette and I are proud to welcome Sharon McMillan to an exciting new role as our Community Manager.
In this position Sharon will be a web ambassador for Mom Masterminds. She will represent our brand in the Work at Home Mom Community and actively work to establish and grow awareness of our resources.
Sharon is extremely well suited for this position and we are enthusiastic about seeing her embrace and thrive in it.

Those of you who know me understand that I make a big deal about communities being important to our lives as busy moms building businesses to support our families and our personal goals. So it should come as no surprise that I am absolutely ecstatic about being hired by Kelly McCausey and Lynette Chandler to be Mom Masterminds’ Community Manager.
Mom Masterminds has helped so many women to get their businesses off the ground and into the minds of prospective clients. I’ve witnessed and experienced the significant impact of this amazing networking group on my own life and the lives of so many other women. Over the last 15 years I’ve worked in associations and joined various business networking groups and I have to say that Mom Masterminds is truly one of the most interactive, supportive and practical business mentorship and networking groups that I have seen anywhere.
I am really excited about the mission I’m on to spread the word about the solid resources and membership services offered by Mom Masterminds. Our community is thriving because of the women involved and I so look forward to sharing that good news with other dynamic business women on the web.
I want to thank Kelly and Lynette for building this truly unique home for moms who mean business and for changing my life in so many wonderful ways!
