Do you know that Mom Masterminds recently celebrated a fourth anniversary? Wow!

It’s been an amazing four years.  We’ve seen some incredible businesses born here on our forum. Partnerships and symbiotic business relationships continue to be created on a regular basis between our members all the time.

It’s incredible to see what creativity
erupts when moms who are all serious
about their businesses get together!

Our challenge now is to keep things fresh and forward moving so that our membership and resources continue to be as valuable four years from now as they are today.

Lynette and I have put our heads together to come up with ideas for helping MM continue to grow and thrive and starting August 8th, 2008 this is what you’ll see:

A New Lower Price.

The monthly cost to access MM will go down to $24.97.  (it is currently $39.97/mo)

More Urgency in Learning.

Instead of creating a new resource and tucking it permanently into our Learning Center, each month’s resource will be available to members for that month only.

We believe that this will help all of our members stay engaged and accountable to ‘DO’ something with their MM membership.

We will still have a great permanent Learning Center with great ‘evergreen’ content - and if you join MM and want to access resources from previous months - you can purchase them individually at a low cost.

Saying Goodbye to the Graduate Program

For about three of our four years we have offered members who remain consistent in their membership over a period of time the opportunity to ‘graduate’ into lifetime membership.  We knew when we introduced this perk that it couldn’t last forever and the time has come to close the window of opportunity forever.

Current members and those who join before August 8th can still achieve lifetime paid up status after 18 months of uninterrupted membership.

The Seven Day Free Preview Remains

Anyone can grab a single use Seven Day Free Pass into MM to explore and decide if a membership is right for them.

That’s it! Through these changes MM will continue to be the premium resource for learning and networking that it has become known for.  Lynette, our Special Advisors and I hope to see YOU on the inside soon :)

Sharon McMillan is a seasoned business writer, public relations expert and new podcaster (thanks Kelly McCausey!).

When her first child was born she started a promotional and events company (based out of her home) that produced conferences and written materials for companies in Canada and the United States. She worked from home for 4 wonderful years until one of her Ohio based clients pleaded with her to come on board as a full-time publications editor and events manager.

Over the years Sharon has worked with various large and small companies, including work-at-home-moms, to develop public relations strategies and marketing materials that served to promote and position these businesses for success.

Today Sharon provides the same exceptional communications service and support for the growing number of mom-preneurs and small business owners who are driving our economy and keeping communities and cities alive across the United States and Canada.

Her communications company Sharon Writes is an internet based service for small business owners and other organizations seeking public relations, marketing and business writing services for websites, e-books and special reports.

Work from Home Moms and other entrepreneurs who see the value and environmental benefit in investing and working in our communities will also enjoy Sharon’s other main website, New Urban Mom.

New urbanism is a concept that supports work at home moms and other business owners and innovative thinkers who realize that the health of our families and our future lies in our ability to nurture and develop “green-friendly” safe communities where we can work, live and play.

Sharon is a passionate advocate for new urbanism and she invites her clients and colleagues to listen to her podcast and visit her home on the web to share their ideas and comments about working and thriving in their communities.

Arika Lewis resides in Virginia with her husband, two boys and one little princess. She loves nothing more than spending time with her husband and children, no matter what they’re doing.

After searching for years (almost 8 to be exact) for the perfect work at home opportunity that allowed her to have control over her dreams and finances while spending time raising her kids, Arika opened the doors to Take 5 Virtual Assistance in 2005 after the birth of her second son.

Arika knows firsthand how tough it can be to head a business and family, but believes that every woman can do both, with a bit of help. That’s the reason she started Take5Va.com, a virtual assistant business that caters to Internet Marketing mom business owners.

Within less than a year, Take5VA began turning consistent monthly profits of over $2,000 and if you ask her, Arika will tell you she never dreamed she’d actually make it with her own online business and now that she has, she owes her success to God, her internal entrepreneur drive that kept her looking for a way to stay home and raise her children, her supportive family, and especially her clients.

Take5VA - A virtual assistant business that caters to Internet Marketing mom business owners and specializes in writing and affiliate management.

Recently, Arika partnered with another Mom Mastermind member, Nicole Dean, on her first passive income project. Let’s just say that Arika is in love and can’t wait to see what this new venture brings her. You can see her project at YummyPLR.com

Teresa Smolinski is the mother of two teen daughters, Tessa and Laura, and has been working at home since 1994. She first got a taste of the freelance world by working in her husband’s commercial photography studio, and quickly realized that being self-employed is a lot more rewarding than the corporate world! She combined her love for technical stuff with graphics and began servicing book publishers by creating technical art for math textbooks.

When her girls were preteens, Teresa did her best to encourage the entrepreneurial spirit in them. When her oldest daughter was twelve, the family started Pre-wrap.com which was inspired by Tessa’s frustration in finding the product locally. With much help, support, and cheerleading from Mom Masterminds, the business has grown tremendously! They now ship pre-wrap internationally!

Teresa has recently added a Kids-in-Biz blog, hoping to help and inspire other families to start a business with their children. She strongly believes that kids can be taught entrepreneurial concepts at a young age, even without starting an actual business.

Pre-wrap.com Fun, sporty, and functional headbands for female athletes at any age!

I know it’s a silly saying but Summer IS Sizzlin’ and I’m geeked about the coming months.

The Hot Seminar Series kicks off next week with our first speaker, Wendy Piersall of Sparkplugging. It’s going to be an awesome series this year. You can see the whole line up on the website and sign up for free event access.

Then in September I am hosting Moms Affiliate Expo, a three day event that will teach moms about affiliate marketing and help to connect them with as many affiliate programs as possible.

If you run an affiliate program that moms should know about I invite you to become an Exhibitor and place your multi-media listing on the Expo website.

There are SMMO deals for MM Members for both the Hot Seminar Series and Moms Affiliate Expo, so be sure to visit the SMMO forum for details.
